Sub-Programme for Product Development

The objective of this sub-programme is to improve the range and quality of the tourist product in order to meet the demand for high quality special interest holidays. Private sector projects which have the capacity to attract more tourists and create employment are specifically targeted under this sub-programme.

Total funding of £287 million will be invested in Product Development over the period of the programme, of which £139 million will come from the E.U. Structural Funds (E.R.D.F.), £19 million from the State and £129 million from the private sector.

Five measures will be supported under this sub-programme:

4. Special Interest Holiday Facilities
5. Specialist Accommodation-Related Developments
