NDP Funding of €252m Allocated to Schools ICT Strategy - 25 February 2007
The Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin T.D., announced on 25 February 2007, the appointment of a Strategy Group to advise on the prioritisation of measures under a planned Government investment of €252 million in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in schools.  The planned investment over the 2007 to 2013 period was outlined in the Government's National Development Plan (NDP)

NDP Funding of €40 Million Announced for Science Research - 19 February 2007
The allocation of €40 million to four Government Departments involved in performing or funding public sector research across a range of areas covering agriculture, food, health, marine, energy, and the environment was announced by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheál Martin TD, on Monday 19th February 2007.

Taoiseach opens NDP Funded Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience - 8 February 2007
The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience was officially opened today (8 February 2007) by An Taoiseach, Mr. Bertie Ahern, T.D., more than 17 years after the €31.5m project was first proposed.  The development, which was funded under the National Development Plan (NDP 2000-2006) and part-financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), includes a state-of-the-art underground visitor centre building and substantial cliff edge improvement works.

Ennis Bypass Officially Opened - 26 January 2007
Ennis Bypass Officially OpenedThe Ennis Bypass was officially opened on 26 January 2007 by the Transport Minister, Martin Cullen, T.D. It is the first of nine major road projects due to be completed this year and is expected to remove over 20,000 vehicles from the streets of Ennis on a daily basis. The Bypass was funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan 2000-2006, and was co-financed by the European Union.
